We had our show today. Not a successful one but it was great for networking. There were a number of vendors that were a lot of fun to talk to. In the end, shows that are not financially successful may hurt, they are always great for conversations with people of like mind. Next to our table was an aspiring artist. 23 and full of enthusiasm and very talented. She was selling her paints for next to nothing. Funny thing was, so many people just talked to her but didn't buy her paintings. On the other side of us was a lady who worked with towels and made hooded bath wraps. Very nice work.
Overall, we drove off feeling okay.

So, Thursday after work, we decided to zip off to Ikea to buy a small couch for the boy. It turned out to come in a good sized box. The end result was that we got a couch and a playhouse for the little one. Check out the shots. One of the most frustrating things about computers are their random behaviour. I typed for a half an hour and lost all the things I wrote due to a sudden browser error. Very irritating. I've come back to write again what I think I wrote... Honestly, I haven't the slightest idea what I was writing about.
Here are some updates to what's been going on: 1. Z is sleeping extremely well and we are recovering 18 months of sleep, 2. We have a show coming up next weekend at the Tranzac Club, 3. Finally back on the crafting wagon. Here is one of the new items we've made. It's an apron that can be worn by either boy or girl. Z has a black and yellow one. It's reversible and we can make a matching one for mom or dad. (It's chocolate brown on the back with the floral print as the pocket.) We are hoping to make a bunch of stuff for the show this weekend but we are not sure if we have the time. We shall see. |
