Well, it's been a while and I am finally off from work for the summer. Looking forward to spending time with my family and working on the site. In the last 10 months I've been working on trying to increase the number of hits my site is getting. There are days that it reaches 200 hits but still no sales. I get more reaction on www.bricklink.com than here. My twitter account following has increased to 1000 or more and it's great communicating with a variety of people but still no sales. I've used 100milefinds.com and they were good but still not enough sales to merit an expense for using someone else's site. I get the most sales through craft shows and people who meet me and come back for more items. The returning customers are the ones making the sales. More later.

Had a great time at the brick works today selling our new stuff... the kimonos and hats and trying to sell the other things as well. Also, I got a chance to meet Shirley and Susan who run the website www.100milefinds.com. The hats, monkeys and jewellery went really well. The Kimonos were ignored for some reason. I will have to bring pictures of the clothing being worn.
Also, Lulu was with the two little ones at home on her own while I was at the show. It was a great day for both of us. Looking forward to the next craft show. One of the most frustrating things about computers are their random behaviour. I typed for a half an hour and lost all the things I wrote due to a sudden browser error. Very irritating. I've come back to write again what I think I wrote... Honestly, I haven't the slightest idea what I was writing about.
Here are some updates to what's been going on: 1. Z is sleeping extremely well and we are recovering 18 months of sleep, 2. We have a show coming up next weekend at the Tranzac Club, 3. Finally back on the crafting wagon. Here is one of the new items we've made. It's an apron that can be worn by either boy or girl. Z has a black and yellow one. It's reversible and we can make a matching one for mom or dad. (It's chocolate brown on the back with the floral print as the pocket.) We are hoping to make a bunch of stuff for the show this weekend but we are not sure if we have the time. We shall see. |
