It has been a long while since I have added information on the site. First off, We've been working tirelessly, trying to build our inventory but we aren't doing the same thing as we did. Sure, we still have the kids kimonos and the sock monkeys (we are not making more) we are going to be moving away from the women's jewelry. There is just too much competition. Everyone can make the stuff. We are making necklaces for kids, though. And necklaces made from t-shirts. I really have to post some photos. We shall see if I can get around to doing it. Actually maybe... I can through the power of Apple's iCloud... lets see. So, there are 2 shots of what we have been doing. More to come.

We are currently running a sock monkey drive and it seems to be working! We've had more online sales that ever before. I am very excited. We also discovered that we cannot ship products for Christmas (meaning: any parcel sent in the mail today will not get to the city by Xmas) outside of Toronto. This Friday the 16th is the deadline.
As for the shows this year: Not great. There were a number of 1st-time-ever craft shows that just couldn't bring in the traffic. Very limited turn outs. 3 duds. Oh well, such is life in the world of crafting. I think that Canadians need to increase their appreciation for handmade crafts... like in the US. Mind you I think that the sheer number difference in population has a direct effect... I am ranting. I am looking forward to having a break from crafting. |
